DENNIS BUNIO ⎮ Associate Pastor

Dennis and his wife Dianne relocated to Abbotsford in the summer of 2016 after serving communities of faith in Edmonton and Armstrong. They were both born and raised in Winnipeg and just seem to keep moving westward. They are excited to be a part of Immanuel and to live life together with the people that Jesus has gathered at this great church! Dianne is a Registered nurse. Their daughter Vanessa (married to Brent) is a recreational therapist in Edmonton and their son Nathan is working in city planning in the Lower Mainland. Their dog Maisie is seeking all the treats and walks she can get. They enjoy dining at restaurants, coffee and British TV shows.

DREW WEBER ⎮ Director of Youth Ministries

Drew’s story as a Christian begins as a 15-year-old boy who ended up going to camp. When he was there he found something much more— Jesus! Shortly after beginning his adventure with Christ he felt the call to go into ministry. Since then he has served in various youth ministries ranging from summer camps and youth groups, to being on staff with Young Life. To prepare for formal ministry he attended Miller College of the Bible for four years.  Now to further enhance his ministry involvement and studies he is currently enrolled in the Immerse program at Northwest Baptist Seminary and Fellowship Pacific and will graduate this fall with a masters degree.

His wife, Allison, and daughter Evelyn are his treasures. Watch for Evelyn whom you will often see running around the church, laughing as church youth try to catch her. They have lived in Abbotsford since May of 2016.

Jaden  McSween⎮ Director of Worship Arts

Jaden is born and raised in Abbotsford. Currently, he is working toward his Worship Arts degree at Columbia Bible College. Music is an enormous passion of his whether he be leading a youth band, leading a church congregation, managing his band Search & Sleep, or singing by himself in his car. He is excited to see what God has in store for Immanuel in the worship arts ministry and beyond.  In his spare time he enjoys going for coffee with friends, finding a mountain to hike, and catching up on episodes of his favourite Netflix shows.

MELISSA BARGEN⎮ Director of Children’s Ministry

Melissa grew up in Burnaby, BC and while in high school was an intern at Willingdon Church in the Children’s department. Through this experience, she developed a passion for seeing children deepen their walk with God. After high school she began attending Trinity Western University. She is continuing to work towards a Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Biology and Minors in Psychology and Religious Studies.

She and her mom moved to Abbotsford three years ago and while working at the House of James Coffee Shop, she met Jared. They were married in September 2014. Jared and Melissa live in Abbotsford with their prima donna cat, Chipmunk. She enjoys reading, spending time with her friends and family, and beating her husband at ping pong and an intense hand of Dutch Blitz.

SHELLEY WEGLO ⎮ Office Administrator

Shelley hails from the city of Vernon. She came to Immanuel in 2011 and became a part of our staff in 2014. Lover of friendship, fellowship and Starbucks, Shelley enjoys a good cup of coffee, making new friends, and partaking in meaningful conversation. She can be found in the office throughout the week, leading girls at youth on Tuesday evenings, and running the connect centre on Sunday mornings. She makes a mean batch of chocolate chip cookies and will take anyone up for a rousing game of Farkle.
