I’m New

Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at one of our Sunday worship gatherings. You can engage with others as much as you want, or remain anonymous if you prefer. We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.

SKEPTICS WELCOME

We recognize that belief is hard and that it is worth acknowledging and wrestling with the questions, doubts, objections and skepticism around the Christian faith. We welcome both believers and skeptics to process their doubts and beliefs with the recognition that it is not sufficient to hold doubts or beliefs just because we inherited them. If you are interested in processing your doubts and beliefs or exploring Christianity, we welcome you to visit us on Sundays, at one of our events, or in one of our community groups.

TIME & PLACE

2950 Blue Jay Street, Abbotsford, BC   MAP

We meet on Sundays at 10:00 AM
Each service runs for about 1 hour and 10 minutes.

WHAT’S IT LIKE ON SUNDAYS?

On Sundays we gather to hear relevant teaching from the Bible and to respond to God in worship. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, we hope to challenge and inspire, pointing each other to God. We’re happy to have guests join us, but we won’t single you out or draw attention to you. Grab some coffee in the foyer and stop by the Connect Centre. We’d love to meet you.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

Our church is packed with kids and families trying to balance the craziness of this season with a life centred on God. Immanuel Kids happens upstairs during the gathering. They have a jam-packed morning program designed for kids from Pre-School to Grade 5 using stories, drama, and music as creative ways to illustrate God in our lives. We also have a staffed nursery available during our gathering for newborn to 2 year olds.

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Nope. Our gathering is a pretty casual atmosphere. Like most churches, there is a variety, as some people like to dress nice for church, while many prefer to wear casual clothing. We recognize that it’s not our dress, but our attitudes that matter as we come to worship.

AM I EXPECTED TO GIVE MONEY?

No. We don’t expect our visitors to give money. Joining us for worship is all the gift we want. Members of Immanuel and those who come regularly give to the church as part of their worship.
